in morpheus lands

sister, oh where do you go when you dream,
do you travel to places that aren't what they seem,
do you dress all in satins of silver and gold,
forget for the moment you've ever been cold?

tara, who holds you inside the white hall,
with blue-gazing eyesight, slender and tall,
what is his passion, do you know his name,
is it a lover or some magick game?

(the ways of the weirding occur in the mist,
where no mortal eye sees the mystical tryst,
and danger can dwell in the morpheus lands,
with no hope of rescue from mere human hands.)

sister, for what on this earth do you care,
what is your calling and what can you share,
what in the world do you hope for in time,
and do you feel foolish, or sweetly sublime?

tara, he calls you with what silent word,
to blank out the silence and lying you've heard,
how does he hold you, with only his eyes,
is he a stranger, or friend in disquise?

(over the rainbow, the rules have no sway,
and far from the pain is so easy to stay,
but danger may strike in the morpheus lands,
with no hope of rescue from mere human hands.)

sister, how long will you be within sight
filling my sadness with clear golden light,
when will you fly from the madness and pain,
and when we are sane, will i know you again?

tara, believe that i know he is real,
and i know the confusion your fantasies feel,
and when you uncover the path to his door,
along with your heartbeat, my spirit will soar.

('twixt truth and fantasy, walls are quite thin,
but when love is perfect, then nothing is sin,
and danger will flee from the morpheus land,
with no need of rescue by mere human hands.)

sister, go now to the place where you dream,
travel to places that aren't what they seem,
dress lightly in satins of silver and gold,
forget for the moment you've ever been cold.
